Previously known as Guizhou, situated in the northeastern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and spread over an area of 10,377 kilometers this country, Guilin, is considerably compact yet breath taking. Built 2000 years ago by Song dynasty, 960 – 1127, the country is rich in culture and festivals, as it was inhabited by different dynasty in different time zones. Country has eleven ethnic groups, of the Han, Zhuang, Miao, Yao, etc. Karst peaks, pure and nature water of Li River, Strangely shapes caves and pleasant weather makes the place, a prefect tourist destination.

Cantonese and Sichuan food find more admirers but other types of cuisines are Hunan, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Fujian, so tourist can give a try to these cuisines as well. If one talks about the souvenirs of the country, products made of Osmunthus trees in the region like Osmunthus tea, sugar, wine giving a sweet scent of Osmunthus, will remind one of the memories of the country. These products can be easily spotted at any daily departmental stores.
